This position plans and executes Nonwovens process and productivity improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of textile processing, fiber characteristics, and needlepunched nonwovens.

• Analyze Nonwoven department process capabilities on line by line basis and develop and execute improvement projects.
• Execute assigned Six Sigma projects
• Member of Nonwovens Kaizen team; execute assigned projects
• Work closely with Maintenance to improve machine uptime
• Maintain current set up and spec sheets for each product
• As member of new product launch team, ensure Nonwovens process capability meets profitability targets

• Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• 5-7 years of needle punched nonwovens engineering experience; automotive related experience a plus
• Experience with processes that use staple fiber necessary
• Six Sigma experience strongly preferred
• Must be a self starter and able to manage multiple tasks
• Proven ability to execute projects from start to finish, as well as meet deadlines and cost constraints required
• Demonstrated effective communications and interpersonal skills required. Ability to work effectively with line associates.
• Working knowledge of basic statistical techniques required
• Knowledge of Toyota Production System a plus.
