This position plans and executes Thermoforming process and productivity improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will have solid background in manufacturing engineering preferably as an automotive supplier.

• Analyze Thermoforming department process capabilities on cell by cell basis and develop and execute improvement projects
• Execute assigned Six Sigma projects
• Member of Thermoforming Kaizen team; execute assigned projects
• Work closely with Maintenance to improve machine uptime
• Serve as engineering lead on new equipment installations/upgrades for department
• As member of new product launch team, ensure Thermoforming process capability meets profitability targets

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; Mechanical Engineering preferred
• 5-7 years of manufacturing/process engineering experience, experience with an automotive supplier preferred
• Six Sigma and lean manufacturing experience strongly preferred
• Must be a self starter and able to manage multiple tasks
• Proven ability to execute projects from start to finish, as well as meet deadlines and cost constraints required
• Demonstrated effective communications and interpersonal skills required. Must have ability to effectively interact with line employees
• Working knowledge of basic statistical techniques required
• Knowledge of Toyota Production System a plus
